Please could anyone check the World War I war memorials, in Levenshulme for Alec or Alexander HANDS.
He was the brother of my grandfather Arthur HANDS.
He was born around 1890 and he may have been an architect.
My grandfather said that he died in France in 1916.
I have tried all the usual sources
CWGC, Soldiers Who Died in the Great War, etc, with no luck.
